The #4RoadSafety Manifesto has been launched in May by The Global Network for Road Safety Legislators in London, as part of the 2017 UN Global Road Safety Week. Aiming to support the United Nations (UN) in achieving the target to halve road deaths by the end of the decade, It has been adopted by a cross party group of senior Members of Parliament from a great variety of countries: Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle Est, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Every day 3500 people die in traffic crashes: #4RoadSafety Manifesto urges parliamentarians to take action in order to prevent this terrible waste of lives. It includes ten key policy recommendations, running from the recommendation one “UN Decade of Action for Road Safety and the Sustainable Development Goals” to the recommendation ten “Road Safety Target for 2030”, passing through  good governance, funding for road injury prevention and the role of the multilateral development banks.
