Last week, more than 20 countries participated to the “Global Week of Action”, launched by the Child Health Initiative and coordinated by the Global Alliance of Road Safety NGOs, combining road safety issues with the environmental ones. The main objective of the initiative is to reclaim the right to use safe and healthy streets.
The message to the international community was a simple one: this is my street. The focus of the initiative was especially on young people. Thus, young people have driven campaigning activities, leading demonstrations and marches for safer streets across Tanzania, India, Mozambique, Malaysia and Kenya.
