12/01/2018 - SaferAfrica at FASER 2017

On 26-28 October 2017, the third edition of the African Road Safety Forum (FASeR) was held in Ouagadougou.

Several industry experts gathered for two days at Sopatel Silmandé Hotel to discuss safety issues and the growing rate of traffic related deaths each year.

This large-scale international forum brings together experts, researchers, government and non-government actors from around the world to reflect and share on road safety issues.

This third edition of FASeR gathered 236 participants from 14 countries: Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Kenya, France, Cameroon, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, and Canada.

During the event, the SaferAfrica Project was presented by the experts (OCAL, IFSTARR and SITRASS) especially focusing on the dialogue platform and an example of activity, namely the case study on the Abidjan-Lagos corridor.
