On 27th of April, the SaferAfrica Dialogue Platform will take place during a dedicated workshop which will be held in Athens, hosted by the SaferAfrica partner NTUA.
The SaferAfrica Dialogue Platform Management Board together with relevant African stakeholders will take part in the event.
The Management Board mainly consists of personalities from International Organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Road Federation (IRF), the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group (IRTAD), while representatives from African Countries – namely Botswana, Cameroon, Kenya and Burkina Faso - will bring their own expertise and views.
The Dialogue Platform represents, in fact, the SaferAfrica high-level body with a view to ensuring a continuous relationship between Africa and Europe. Thus, the Dialogue Platform aims to identify the main needs for road safety and traffic management and consequently foster the adoption of efficient interventions.
With such a view, the workshop will gather the experts and the stakeholder, in order to collect their contribution on the following issues:
- Road Safety Data Collection in Africa;
- Implementation of the African Road Safety Action Plan.
